Lucknow University is planning to start Masters in Technology (M.Tech) in next three years. The decision was taken after the successful introduction of Bachelor’s in Technology last year. SP Singh Vice Chancellor of Lucknow University said that university has started construction work for expansion of engineering faculty. Adding to this he said that Lucknow University will offer the M.Tech Degree after three years.
The university will invest Rs 20 Crore in development of infrastructure and other basic requirements before starting the course. The second campus of the Lucknow University will be the centre for M.Tech classes after the graduation of present B.Tech batch. The second campus of Lucknow University is situated at Jankipuram.

Funds raised from conducting B.Ed state entrance tests for four consecutive years will be used in the development of infrastructure and engineering faculty of M.Tech course of Lucknow University.
25 laboratories, three seminar halls, 10 classrooms, one workshop and 10 computer laboratories are estimated to be constructed for M.Tech course and are expected to be completed by June 2019. The university is getting all set to welcome the new batch of the programme in the university premises.

R.S. Gupta Director of Engineering added that the faculty of engineering department will sit in two buildings once the construction is over. The extension of the building is created done to hold both M.Tech and B.Tech classes. He also said that construction of the hostel for female engineering students is almost complete and funds have been released for boys’ hostel.
