The Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University (MPMSU) has agreed to allow the medical students of the state to use ‘Hinglish’ language (a mix of English and Hindi) in all oral and written examination.
As per the board of studies, students of Madhya Pradesh medical colleges can now attempt the answers in Hinglish, Hindi and English language.
The decision is supported by the students and the faculty as it is will help medical students , especially those belonging to rural areas. Vice-Chancellor, RS Sharma stated that the board took this decision after a detailed discussion to help the underprivileged students for whom it is not easy to write answers in English even when they know the right answer and ultimately due to which they have to suffer and they end up scoring fewer marks in the exam.

The university administration took the decision to allow ‘ Hinglish’- a mix of Hindi and English, besides Hindi and English as students, from the rural and backward areas are not at ease in writing in English. Similarly, students struggle to express themselves in right manner during oral examinations affecting their overall result.

Madhya Pradesh university has 312 colleges affiliated to it offering various courses like MBBS, nursing, and Ayurvedic medicine. The varsity follows the semester system and the exams are conducted twice a year i.e. July and January.
