In order to prevent cheating cases in the 10th and 12th board exams 2019, the Mumbai divisional board has identified some problem centres in the city and has decided to conduct audits to ensure that appropriate measures are being taken.
The Mumbai board has asked the officials of the education department to visit some of the centres where cheating cases were reported in the previous years. This will put an end to malpractices and promote fairness in the upcoming board examination.

Sharad Khandagale, Secretary, Mumbai divisional board informed that officials belonging to the education department would soon start visiting the exams centres to check whether the security measures are in place or not.
In 2018, around 54 cases of copying, cheating, and paper leak cases were reported with the state board, and 36 students were debarred from appearing in Maharashtra class 10 board exams until March 2019. Check out the complete timetable of Maharashtra class 10th board examination here.

He further informed that the board would ensure the background verification of all the people involved in the transportation of question papers to avoid any cheating or paper leak cases.
During the 2018 examination, the board did not allow the latecomers to enter the exam and appear in the examination. However, students with genuine reasons were allowed after being asked to fill out a form mentioning their reasons for the delay along with the centre official's signature.
