Maharashtra HSC (12th) English 2023: English is usually considered to be the easiest subject in Maharashtra HSC board examinations because it is far less memory-based and more activity-based. There will be a seen and an unseen passage, two seen poems, questions on writing skills, and the only memory-based section will be the literary novel genre. Hence, in these last days, students must focus mainly on solving previous papers, remembering and practising writing skills, and revising the novel contents. The past paper pdfs, important topics in literature, and last-minute tips are all available below on this page.

The most important quick tips which will improve your performance in the paper at these last days are given here:
- In English, less is more. Strictly adhere to the word count guidelines given in the question paper. Writing 1000 words for a 300 words answer will not only consume your time but will also reduce your marks.
- For any question, especially literature questions, do not summarize the story until the point on which the question is asked. Directly answer what is asked.
- Practice reading the unseen passages in the previous years’ papers.
- Revise the exact format for all the writing skill activities.
- Revise figures of speech.
- Revise the basic language devices such as active/passive voices, clauses, etc.
- You can also keep prepared a ‘Film Review’ on the film of your choice as that question has been consistent in the previous years and thus can directly fetch you marks.
