The provisional merit list for the admission to undergraduate medical courses in Maharashtra has been declared. Around 50,000 students will get admission to UG health science courses in various colleges across the state. The admission will be done based on the NEET-UG 2017 score. The certificate/ document verification process will begin from July 15, 2017. Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) Maharashtra issued an official notice stating that the admission process will be conducted for all the state government, aided and private institutions across the state. Besides MBBS & BDS courses, DMER will also conduct admission process for allied health science courses based on NEET-UG 2017 score.

The document verification process for MRI candidates will begin from July 17, 2017, and these candidates must attend the certificate verification process at DMER, Mumbai CET Cell located in St. George Hospital Compound, Mumbai.
All the candidates whose name is featured in the provisional merit list can fill the online preference form through the official website of DMER from July 15 to July 20, 2017. DMER will release the first selection list on July 25, 2017, and the candidates must report to the respective institution by July 31, 2017.

Candidates belonging all the categories other than NRI can appear for document verification process in the following centres: -
- Grant Government Medical College, Mumbai
- B.J. Government Medical College, Pune
- Government Medical College, Aurangabad
- Government Medical College, Nagpur
Candidates who fail to submit online preference form will not be eligible for admission.
