Maharashtra School Holiday Declared on July 26 : As per the updated data of the IMD of July 26 morning, a Red Alert was issued for Mumbai City, Mumbai Surban, Palghar, Thane, Pune, Raigad, Nashik, and Satara. An Orange Alert is issued for Ratnagiri, Kolhapur, Chandrapur, and Gadchiroli. Schools in these districts are likely to remain closed but no official update has been received yet. • Lonavala Municipal Administration will keep Lonavala schools shut today July 26, 2024, due to heavy rain. Hilly areas are expected to experience the most rain.

• Primary and Secondary schools in Pune City , Pimpri , and Chinchwad will also be closed.

• Schools in Mumbai are also to remain closed , as per the official update by the BMC. Extremely high rain warning has been issued for the Mumbai region.

• Since schools in Wada and Vikramgarh talukas in the Palghar district are closed today, they will most likely remain closed today as well as similar weather conditions are likely.

• There will be a school holiday in government and private schools in Raigad .

• Thane schools are closed today, it is most likely to stay closed today as well, the final update is awaited.

• Schools in Nagpur, Bhandara, Gondia, and other yellow-alert districts in the Vidarbha region are unlikely to be closed as there is only yellow alert in these districts so far.

• Schools in Chandrapur and Gadchiroli may remain closed as an orange alert has been issued for these districts.
