Maharashtra School Holiday 28 September 2024: The Indian Meteorological Department has issued orange and yellow alerts for a few districts in Maharashtra after heavy rainfall persists in the region. The administration units of various districts in Maharashtra are likely to declare holidays in the schools of all classes for September 28, 2024, as well, due to continuous rainfall in the region. Till now, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has declared a school holiday in the Mumbai city and sub-urban regions.
IMD has declared an orange alert for various districts of Maharashtra-
Nandurbar, Dhule, Nashik & Palghar,
whereas, a yellow alert has been issued for Jalgaon, Aurangabad, Thane, Raigad, Pune and many more districts. That is why, it is very much likely that Maharashtra School Holiday will be announced by the government soon for September 28.
Latest Update at 11:30 PM: As per the latest updates available from the IMD, the weather in Maharashtra is likely to improve as of September 28, 2024. However, Yellow Alert is issued for Amravati, Akola, Dhue, Nandurbar, Jalgaon, Buldana, Nagpur, Washim, and Wardha. Parts of Mumbai City and Suburban as under waterlogging and the schools and colleges affected shall remain closed. The Government has not publicly issued any notice regarding the Maharashtra School Holiday 28 September yet. Schools and College authorities have declared holidays on their own for the safety of the students and hence all Students are advised to be in touch with the school authorities regarding the final holiday decision.
