MAHE, also known as Manipal Academy of Higher Education has signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with seven technical universities located in Ghana. The MoU with all the universities was signed on August 21, 2018, at MAHE. The Ghanaian delegation , comprising of senior officials of technical universities visited MAHE and signed the MoU. On behalf of the MAHE, Vice-Chancellor of the institute, Mr. H Vinod Bhat signed the memoranda. The other important officials of MAHE were also present on the occasion.
MHAE signed MoU with the following technical universities of Ghana : -
- Takoradi Technical University
- Kumasi Tech University
- Cape Coast Polytechnic
- Koforidua Technical University
- Accra Technical University
- Bolgatanga Polytechnic
- Sunyani Technical University

In the recent past, Foreign Minister of Ghana, Shirley Botchwey had visited India and interacted with the officials of Ministry of External Affairs, India. MAHE MoU with seven technical universities of Ghana is the outcome of the Shirley Botchwey’s visit to India.
Since MAHE has acquired ‘Institute of Eminence’ status, it is free to make collaborations with international universities. MoU with Ghanaian universities is the first step in this regard.
The MoU will focus on student and faculty exchange between MAHE and Ghanaian technical universities , joint study tours, summer school programmes etc. The most important aspect of the MoU is undertaking joint research programmes in the common areas of interest. The MoU will play a vital role in providing great exposure to MAHE students as well as Ghanaian students.
