Another achievement for the Manipal University as the Manipal College of Dental Sciences (MCODS) announced its new collaboration with Henry M Goldman Schools of Dental Medicine (BUGSDM), Boston University. The purpose of the Manipal University is to provide a broader and diverse education to its students.

A MoU has been signed between the two colleges to start student exchange programmes for students of dental sciences. The collaboration will aim at promoting education and research in the field of dental science.
The release on the official University website states that the MoU was signed on February 7, 2017. Dr. H Vinod Bhat, Vice-Chancellor of Manipal University and Dr. Nirmala Rao, Dean of MCODS signed the pact along with Boston University Provost and Chief Academic Officer, Dr. Jean Morrison and Dr. Jeffrey W Hutter, Dean, BUGSDM.
The collaboration marks the beginning of the partnership of the two institute and will encourage both the institutes to work together, stated the press release. It also added that the Manipal University aims to establish educational as well as academic collaboration with the Boston University.

The student exchange programme will be offered during the academic year 2017-2020. Both the universities have also agreed to send a team of four students along with a faculty member for two-week rotations. BUGSDM’s team will start their rotation in September for every academic session whereas the rotation for the students of Manipal University will begin from June 1 and August 15, every year.
