With an aim to spread the message of compassion, The Indian Institute of Management-Kozhikode have organised the 7th edition of Calicut Mini Marathon-2016 on February 28 . The aim of this event is to spread compassion and thus has been named "Compassionate Kozhikode".
The event launch ceremony took place on 19th January, 2016 at the Press Club . The Mayor V K C Mammed Koya launched the official Calicut Marathon Website for 2016.
The marathon is divided in two categories:
- A 10 km mini marathon which is a competitive race
- A three km "Dream Run", a non-competitive run featuring people from different walks of life.
