20-year old Rupa Yadav of Rajasthan is the inspiration for all girls who have been oppressed by the society to quit education. Rupa got married when she was eight years old but she was determined to complete her education. Her desire to study helped her in cracking NEET 2017 .
Rupa got married to Shankar Lal Yadav, who supported her throughout her education. Her enthusiasm for studies didn’t go unnoticed by her in-laws and teachers. Her brother-in-law and her husband worked hard in the fields to fund her educational expenses.
After scoring good marks in class 10, Rupa decided to study further. Apart from preparing, she used to help her family in the fields, go to school and finish all the household chores. She enrolled at the Allen Coaching Institute to prepare for NEET 2017.
Lack of educational funds led her and her husband to seek financial aid from NGOs and the coaching institute. Her husband said that they haven’t received any funding for Rupa’s education yet. However, the coaching institute had opened an account for Rupa to transfer Rs. 1,500 every month as funds.

The institute has also stated that once they get Rupa’s admission details, they will also start providing her with the four-year fees for her education.
After the announcement of NEET 2017 results, Rupa’s life took a bright turn and she was felicitated by her school and coaching institute. She has become a role model for young girls who want to make it big in their lives.

Rupa has secured admission in Sardar Patel Medical College, Bikaner. The death of her uncle led her to pursue a career in medical and become a cardiac surgeon.
