Gurgaon’s Tanmay Pathak has outperformed all candidates in the UCEED exam 2017. Tanmay topped the exam with 224 marks. With a score of 191, Samadrita Sarkar of Visakhapatnam has secured the second place in the examination whereas Rishikesh’s Harshit Satija secured the third spot with a score of 186.
Around 8336 candidates appeared for the exam. The formal results and scorecards were declared on February 24, 2017. All candidates who appeared for the exam can now see their ranks, score and download their score card through the official website of UCEED.
UCEED was conducted across 19 cities in India on January 22, 2017. The exam was organized by the reputed IIT Bombay as the basis for admission to the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) courses offered by IIT Guwahati , IIT Bombay and IIITDM Jabalpur .

From 2017-2018 and onwards, admission to the B.Des and B.Tech courses offered by Central Institute of Technology i.e. CIT Kokrajhar, Assam as well as IIIT Delhi will be done on the basis of UCEED exam.
Apart from the government institutes listed above, some of the reputed private design colleges and universities will also allot seats on the basis of UCEED exam.
UCEED comprises 85 questions divided into three sections for a total of 300 marks. The sectional cutoff and overall cutoff is decided by the exam conducting body.

UCEED 2017 overall cutoff for general category students is 100 marks, whereas, the sectional cutoff for section A, Section B and Section C is 8, 10 and 12 respectively.
