The Union Ministry of Human Resource Development ( MHRD ) is inviting applications from the interested students for the ‘Swachh Bharat Summer Internship Programme’ . One of the major advantages of this internship programme is that the students will be eligible for two academic credits like an option/ elective paper.
Students who are pursuing various courses in higher learning institutes are eligible to register for this social-motive internship programme. For this purpose, MHRD has directed all the higher education institutes to appoint a nodal officer who will be in-charge for guiding the students throughout the internship programme.

MHRD has developed a separate website for the Swachh Bharat Summer Internship Programme. The official website will be launched on April 25, 2018. Interested students can register through the official website . Apart from participating in the summer internship programme , it is the responsibility of the students to report their activities conducted during the internship period on the official website .
As a part of the internship programme, students will have an opportunity to adopt one or more villages and conduct activities of their choice. The activities of the students must reflect the cause of rural sanitation in India . The duration of the internship programme is 100 hours in the period May 01, 2018, to July 31, 2018. It is the responsibility of the parent institution to organise necessary logistics for the activities.

Within 15 days of completion of field work, the intern must submit an internship report in the prescribed format. The internship report will be treated as valid only if it is signed by the supervisor.
After the conclusion of the internship programme, MHRD will award a cash prize to best interns at university, college, state and national level.
