MHT CET 2025 : The College of Engineering Pune has announced an increase in the seat intake for various undergraduate engineering programs in the academic year 2025-26. According to the announcement, the seat intake for BTech Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) will be increased from 150 to 300, while the intake for BTech Civil Engineering will be increased from 75 to 150. Similarly, the seat intake for BTech Electrical Engineering will be increased from 75 to 150, and for BTech Instrumentation and Control Engineering from 38 to 60.

In line with the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the College of Engineering Pune (COEP) aims to introduce non-engineering multidisciplinary courses from the 4th semester. These courses will be offered on topics such as quantum computing, governance, public policy, leadership, artificial intelligence (AI), psychology, Indian knowledge systems, and foreign languages.

The college will collaborate with institutions such as the Gokhale Institute, Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute (BORI), and Deccan College to offer these courses. In addition to the increased seat intake, the university also plans to introduce new undergraduate and postgraduate courses in emerging areas such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, AI in signal processing, AI in healthcare, intelligent communication systems, material process technology, and MSc in applied psychology with an intake of 30.

These new courses will be offered alongside the existing curriculum, which includes courses from various domains such as leadership and public policy, governance, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, foreign languages, psychology, supply chain management, environmental sustainability, finance, economics, and Indian knowledge systems.
