MHT CET Law 2017: Registration Date Extended to May 1

The Directorate of Higher Education, Maharashtra announced that the deadline for submitting applications for MH-CET Law 2017 has been extended from April 26 to May 1, 2017. Now, the candidates who are still waiting to apply for MH-CET 2017 can do the same on or before May 1, 2017.

It is a law entrance test conducted for the admission to five-year LLB course and three-year LLB course. The entrance examination to five-year LLB programme will take place on May 20, 2017, followed by three-year LLB programme on May 21, 2017.

The application process for MH-CET Law 2017 is online and the candidates can apply through DHE Maharashtra's official website.

As per the report that was given by DHE, Maharashtra, a total number of 23,499 applications have been received for three-year LLB course as on April 26, 2017. Similarly, a total number of 13,879 applications have been received for five-year LLB course. The number of applicants to three-year LLB course has reduced slightly this year and DHE is expecting enrollment by more candidates for three-year and five-year law courses by May 1, 2017.

On the other hand, the officials of Directorate of Higher Education, Maharashtra expressed their concern over the fact that Bar Council of India has not released the list of the colleges that will be allowed to conduct admission. Currently, there is no clarity on the number of seats available for three-year and five-year LLB course. The DHE has reminded the Bar Council of India twice regarding the list of colleges and has not received any response from the apex council.
