MHT CET Result 2022: When the academic session is expected to begin?

MHT CET Counselling 2022 for PCM is expected to take about a month for all three regular rounds and based on the records of the previous years, the counselling is likely to begin in the last week of September 2022. Thus, the counselling and admissions will go on for the entirety of October. It is therefore expected that the academic term will commence from the first or second week of November 2022.

On the contrary, for PCB, the agriculture counselling dates are already released (Click Here for Schedule) today morning and the given start of the academic term is November 4, 2022.

Can objections be raised against MHT CET Result 2022?

No, CET Cell will not entertain any objections against MHT CET Result 2022. The opportunity to raise objections against the preliminary answer key was already given and subsequent changes were made by resolving 25 of the 173 unique objections raised. Moreover, the CBT examination was evaluated only through computer-based mechanisms, thus there is no scope for manual error. Therefore, objections against the result are summarily rejected.

MHT CET Result 2022: Full Marks Given to Wrong Questions

Before the release of MHT CET Result 2022, the CET Cell of Maharashtra had given the opportunity to raise objections against the provisional answer key and it recorded a total of 500 objections (for PCM & PCB) of which 173 were unique. After the assessment of these objections, 25 unique objections were resolved. How does MHT CET Result Percentile work? (2/2)

As discussed below, the raw marks of the topper will be 100%ile and the number of students who appeared in the exam (& their raw scores) changes the percentile calculation, thus the marks vs percentile conversion will be unique to each year. No direct marks to percentile conversion can be made, however, predictions based on the previous years' trends can give a fair idea about it.

How does MHT CET Result Percentile work? (1/2)

Normalization of Marks or conversion to percentile scores is usually done for multi-shift papers to eliminate any differences brought by the changes in difficulty level, the number of incorrect questions, etc. Using the normalization process, raw scores are converted to percentiles as per the formula given here.

Percentile Scored by Student A = (100*No. of candidates whose raw score is less than the raw score of Student A) ÷ (Total No. of candidates who appeared for the exam)

What is the highest score in MHT CET?

Since the implementation of the percentile method, the highest score in MHT CET is undoubtedly 100%ile. Irrespective of the actual or raw marks achieved by the topper(s), his/her/their score will be converted to 100%ile and as per it, the following marks vs percentile conversion will be done. Thus, the highest score in MHT CET will be 100%ile.

How many attempts are there in MHT CET 2022?

MHT CET is carried out for only one attempt every year, the current year being no exception. MHT CET was successfully conducted in multiple shifts from August 5 to 18 (for PCM & PCB). However, for the candidates who faced technical problems, an additional shift was conducted on August 29. The earlier regular examination scores of such candidates are cancelled. Their result will solely be prepared on their performance in the August 29 exam.

However, Bombay HC also stated that the rule 'Schooling from Maharashtra' is not arbitrary. Thus, only those candidates who had to move out of the state for valid reasons such as job transfer of the parents, or whose parents voluntarily went out of state for their business or any other purposes, etc. are entitled to the 85% State Quota.

As per the recent 13.03.2022 order of the Bombay High Court, the students who are born in Maharashtra but did their schooling elsewhere because of fortuitous circumstances are also entitled for the State Quota from this year onwards. Earlier, such students were eligible for MHT CET admissions only through the All-India Quota.

College of Engineering, Pune being one of the topmost choices of the students, the cutoff is very high. For core branches, COEP Cutoff requires at least 98%ile for Open category, 97%ile for OBC, and around 95%ile for SC and ST categories. The cutoff further varies with the branch.

MHT CET Result 2022: AI and MH Quota for B.Tech Admission

Candidates participating in Centralized Admission Process after MHT CET result 2022 must note that there will be two categories in admission -

• MH Quota: Through this quota, only the Maharashtra domicile candidates are allowed to take admission. In simple worlds, only the permanent residents of Maharashtra are allowed for admission through this quota. MHT CET score is mandatory for seeking admission through this quota.
• AI Quota: Under the AI quota, the candidates with a valid rank/ percentile in JEE Main can take admission. Students from other states are also allowed to take admission.
