MICA , which was formerly called the Mudra Institute of Communications, hosted its annual convocation ceremony on 31st March 2019, Sunday. MICA is a premier institute of India for Strategic Marketing and Communication. The convocation ceremony was held on the main campus of the institute and the event was for the 24th batch of the PGDM-Communications Programme and also for the 28th batch of the Crafting Creative Communication (CCC) Course.
Four scholars of the Fellowship Programme in Management-Communication (FPM-C) of MICA from the batch of 2014-2017 and two scholars from the batch of 2015-2018 were given their Fellowship during the ceremony. The President and Director of MICA, Dr. Shailendra Raj Mehta, the Governing Council Chairperson, Dr. Tridip Suhrud, the Dean, Dr. Preeti Shroff, and the Governing Council Members, Dr. Bhaskar Das and Dr. Anantha Babbili were some of the important guests present at the event.

The Chief Guest of the event was Mr. Amit Jain who is the Managing Director of L’Oreal India. The event was commenced with the Invocation ceremony by Dr. Tridip Suhurd after lighting the ceremonial lamp.
After Dr. Preeti Shroff welcomed the guests, students were granted the Fellowships and Diploma Certificates followed by the distribution of the academic awards for the flagship PGDM-C course. From the PGDM-C programme, Ms. Sanya Sitlani received the Gold Medal, Ms. Arpita Choudhury was awarded the Silver Medal and the Bronze Medal was given to Ms. Malvika Adukia. Mr. Rishav Chatterjee was given the Gold Medal for the CCC programme, followed by the Silver Medal being awarded to Ms. Suzanna Mathew and the Bronze Medal to Ms. Vaishali Shukla for the same course.

Mr. Amit Jain also released the MICA yearbook for the batch of graduating students. He addressed the students by acknowledging the relationship of MICA and L’Oreal which has been going on for fifteen years. He further gave the students three important lessons. They were to have a sense of purpose in whatever they do, to make a difference while having the courage of conviction and a passion for learning, and to find a mentor or somebody they can look up to.
