Detailed Section-wise Analysis of MICAT II 2022

SECTION A – Psychometric Test
A total of 150 questions will be asked in MCQ Format. Candidates will have multiple options for each answer to choose from. Questions related to Personality Factors, Behavioural Patterns, and more will be asked.
- In comparison to MICAT I, MICAT II Psychometric Test was tough.
- Questions were largely situation-based questions, where candidates had to attempt to analyze the situation and answer accordingly.
- The questions tested the capabilities, honesty, thinking ability, and viewpoint on various new topics, science and arts.
SECTION B - Aptitude Section
Section B of the question paper has a total of four sections, namely, Verbal Ability, Divergent and Convergent Thinking, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, and General Awareness. There will be a total of 80 questions in this section with 20 questions for each sub-section. Candidates must answer all the questions within 80 minutes.
Verbal Ability
- Usually, the Verbal Ability section comprises questions related to Paragraphs, Correction of sentences, reading comprehension, and more.
- On average, this is was difficult sections, candidates complaint it to be tougher than MICAT I.
- However, some of the questions were easy and some were comparatively much difficult.
Divergent And Convergent Thinking
- Question is this section covers statements, puzzles, analogies, etc.
- The level of difficulty in this section was moderate to difficult.
Quantitative Ability And Data Interpretation
- Arithmetic questions are asked in this section.
- The difficulty level was moderate.
- Candidates were able to attempt the Quant section.
- The Data Interpretation section was comparatively difficult, as questions were trickier and complex to understand.
General Awareness
- This section was moderate.
- Candidates can estimate an average of 7-12 correct answers to be a good attempt.
- Questions were on books, authors, Covid vaccines, government yojanas, banks and many other general questions.
SECTION C - Descriptive Test
- Section C of the MICAT II exams is the Descriptive Test. This section tests the writing and creative ability of the candidates appearing for the exams.
- The difficulty level of this section was moderate.
- Most questions were "for and against" based questions on a wide range of topics.
- One question was picture based where candidates had to write innovative and fresh answers about their viewpoints on the picture. There were four pictures, that candidates had to describe.
