Microsoft will train five lakh Indian youth over the next three years as part of its plan to establish 10 Artificial Intelligence Labs in various Universities across the country.

Microsoft India is planning to establish Artificial Intelligence (AI) labs across various universities in the country. The primary aim of Microsoft India is to enhance the skills of around 10,000 developers and train more than 5 lakh youth in the country over the next three years.

To achieve the same, Microsoft has already collaborated with 715 entities to implement a comprehensive Artificial Intelligence strategy. One of the prime objectives of Microsoft’s Comprehensive AI Strategy is to bridge the gap between skills and employability.

NITI Aayog and Microsoft India had joined forces to build AI and data sciences capacity in India to train the youth and increase their employability. As part of this collaboration, Microsoft will utilise AI to develop and adopt local language computing for academic and training purposes.

Microsoft will source the content from the Microsoft India AI Professional Certificate programme for higher education institutions, developers and students across the country to enhance their skills in the field of AI and data sciences. It is essential because the technological advancements in the field of AI and cloud can boost employment opportunities all over the world.

Meanwhile, Microsoft is also planning to come up with an Intelligent Cloud Hub Program in the country. This programme aims to provide academic and practical assistance to medical management and research institutes in AI and data sciences.
