MIT School of Vedic Sciences ( MIT SVS) Pune has launched a new course in Vedic Aesthetic Theories that will target the students of art and design at the undergraduate level.
The new course in Vedic Aesthetic at MITSVS will cover many subjects of Indian Aesthetics including:
- Vedas
- Upanishads Source Classification
- Mother of Vedic Aesthetic Theories
- Kavyatma Theories
- Source Classification
- Talent Origin and Self Study
- Alankaras
- Natyasastra Plot Analysis
- Creativity Prerequisites

The authorities of the MIT School of Vedic Sciences said that the course has been introduced keeping in mind the huge demand of aesthetics in mainstream education. Unfortunately, at present, there are not many courses like these that exist in the country. It is to meet the demand and address the issue, that the University School of Vedic Sciences, Pune has started the course.

One of the executive members of MITSVS and the designer of the course - Nagaraj Paturi said that courses on Vedic Shastras are the need of an hour. The course includes both Indian and western concepts. According to him, this programme will help offer students an opportunity to gain knowledge and insight into aesthetics which will ultimately help them build a better future for themselves.
