Vabirisetti Mohan Abhyas from Telangana secured the 6 th rank at an All India Level in JEE Main 2017 examination. Abhyas scored 345/360 marks in the national level entrance examination and stood as the topper of the Telangana state.
Mr. Abhyas decided to pursue engineering at Indian Institute of Technology when he was in Class 8. He said that he never lost the concentration and did his best in achieving the goal. Mr. Abhyas never missed the school and attended it regularly. His parents motivated him very much and developed self-confidence in him. Observing the enthusiasm in him to learn, his dedication and hard work, his teachers also encouraged him and clarified doubts whenever necessary.

Abhyas credited his achievement to his parents, teachers and hard work. He is not only the topper of Telangana but also South India. Abhyas’s father and mother are samosa sellers. They expressed that their son is the first person in the family who is going to do engineering.

Another topper from Telangana is Varun Tej who secured All India Level 9 th rank in JEE Mains 2017. He completed his Intermediate from Sri Chaitanya Narayana IIT Academy. He never missed the coaching classes and balanced the time between preparing for board exams as well as JEE Main 2017 examination. He thanked his parents and teachers for their motivation and support.
Varun Tej’s father is a police officer and mother is a homemaker. His aim is to join in either Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai or Indian Institute of Technology, Madras .
