In order to launch a course in Financial Markets and Investment Strategy, Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) education provider Coursera has collaborated with Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad.
According to a recent research, it was found out that 76% of Indian adults are not clear with their key financial concepts.
Rick Levin, CEO, Coursera said that this new specialization by ISB is a need of the hour and will attract masses from both India and abroad. This course will be of help to aspiring working professionals. One can learn or clear his/her basic concepts in finance for personal or professional use.
Teachers for this course will be Vaidya Nathan, Vikram Kuriyan and Ramabhadran Thirumalai, faculty of ISB. The course will be available in the following four specializations:
- Introduction to financial markets;
- Portfolio and risk management;
- Behavioural investing and investment strategy,
- Philosophy, client management, and current trends.
There is no eligibility criteria to join these courses. Anyone is open to enrol for these courses. To obtain the specialisation certificate, all applicants will have to complete the Capstone Project.
The Capstone Project will be used to check the applicant's present skills to manage assets and securities for a person or a company using portfolio management and behavioural aspects.
