In order to promote innovation in the financial technology space, IIT Kharagpur and State Bank of India BSE 0.67 % (SBI) have decided to join hands and sign a MoU.
Some of the various features of this wider programme are as follows:
- Ideation
- Incubation
- Experimentation
- Commercialization
This will be done to come up with new and advanced technology that can be used by the banking sector in the form of products and services for its customers.
Apparently, the aim is to merge innovation and finances and promote fin-tech. Both SBI and IIT Kharagpur will be working together for this goal and will do what is in their power to bring the benefits of synergy.
As a part of the MoU, the institutions will be taking part in collaborative research and build a Centre of Excellence (CoE).

Between Telangana Govt and ISRO to Promote Education
The MoU will further improve the services and facilities provided by MANA TV, which is an education television network for the students of Tamil Nadu. In the MoU, ISRO will help enhance the data of the MANA TV by using Satcom and make sure that it is available to all in the state.

Between IIT Delhi and Thales to Launch Ph.D Fellowship Program:
This MoU will not only focus on promoting research but, will also strengthen the connection between France and India. In the programme called- IIT Delhi- CNRS Ph.D fellowship program, students can choose to research on the following aspects:
- Electromagnetics
- Advanced Electronics
- Complex Systems Engineering

Between Delhi Govt. and German State to Facilitate Collaboration in Higher Education:
The MoU will facilitate cooperation and communication between universities of the two regions and help in enhancing the higher education offered to its people.
