Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has signed an agreement with Wadhwani Operating Foundation. The agreement has been made to boost entrepreneurship education in secondary schools and colleges. The ministry has signed the agreement with Wadhwani Foundation under the scheme of Pradhan Mantri Yuva Udyamita Vikas Abhiyaan.
The central and state governments have already started integrating entrepreneurship education in schools and colleges and this agreement will give a new impetus to the initiative of central and state governments. The partnership made by the ministry will play a significant role in providing support to the various entrepreneurial-led initiatives of the government on a larger scale.

The plan of the ministry is not only to reach out to rural areas but also urban population. Currently, the ministry is making plans to engage with schools for entrepreneurship and skill enhancement. Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship revealed that they have various entrepreneurial courses and the agreement made by the ministry will provide an additional value to it.

Through this agreement, Wadhwani Foundation will play a crucial role in providing interactive e-content, which is cloud based for entrepreneurship training. Ajay Kela, Chief Executive Office (CEO) of Wadhwani Operating Foundation revealed that they have developed an interactive online multimedia content to promote massive entrepreneurship education as well as exposure to it in India.
He further added that entrepreneurship education would play a significant role in increasing the number of startups, which is essential for the development of Indian economy.
