The first-year admissions for Mumbai University have begun on 17th Aug with the release of MU first merit list . The popular colleges affiliated with MU increased their cutoff scores for this year by up to 13% points. Due to the second wave of COVID-19, CBSE along with ICSE and other state boards decided to scrap the board exams and released the Class 12 results instead using a different and unprecedented methodology.
As per the official data shared by Mumbai University colleges, the cutoff percentage for this year has increased exponentially. One of the main reasons being a massive increase of Class 12 students in the 90% Club. In fact, as per the CBSE and ISCE schools, almost 50% of the total students between 90%-95% this year. For the first time in history, a total of 46 students scored a perfect 100%. This high percentage of students scoring over 90% has caused an increase in the MU cutoff scores.
