Mumbai University IT Engineering course students are worried as the question paper of Wireless Network subject have deviated from the syllabus. According to the letter written by students of the Pillai College of Engineering, Panvel questions worth 58 marks from 100 were asked from one single wireless network chapter while another chapter had no questions in the exam.
Pradip Sawant, member of the MU Senate has asked the varsity to look into the matter. He has further asked the university to discuss the topics that need to be taught and to look into the structure of the paper. The weightage of the paper and syllabus has to be looked into as the students are going to appear for the placements in the 7th semester. According to him, it is a crucial year for the students and if any important topic is missed out from the syllabus.

In the past two weeks, the question papers set by the university has received a lot of criticism from the university. In one such case, old syllabus question papers from the topic- Direct and Indirect Tax were given to the third year B.Com students of the university. The issue will be discussed soon during the meeting of the management council which is to take place on 3rd June 2019.
As of now, the matter regarding the out of syllabus questions in the question paper that took place on 28th May 2019 has been forwarded to the authorities and they are looking into the same.
