On December 6, 2017, the High Court of Bombay gave another chance to Mumbai University to regulate technical glitches in the ‘On Screen Marking (OSM)’ system. The court urged the varsity not to repeat the mistakes and technical glitches that occurred during the summer semester. In April 2017, the varsity implemented the OSM without doing proper homework, noted the court. The authorities of Mumbai University have confirmed that the technical glitches in OSM have been sorted out and the same mistakes will not be repeated in the winter exams.
The court further clarified that the state government had stepped in and monitored the new system and it would be appropriate to give another chance to Mumbai University to conduct the evaluation with the help of the OSM system.
