Rajendra Agriculture University (RAU), Pusa, has thrived on finding advanced ways of cultivation of Mushroom. The university has come up with popularizing the ways of cultivating Mushrooms in Santhali language for the tribal people.
The university, in association with National Research Centre for Mushroom in Chambaghat, Himachal Pradesh, envisions making the understanding of technicalities of farming of mushroom other necessary skill-sets more easy for the people of Santhal tribe who live in Bihar and the neighbouring state of Jharkhand.
The university has also motivated hundreds of the tribals residing in Madhubani district for the mushroom farming and aims to increase the count in future.
