The National Assessment and Accreditation Council(NAAC) has accredited the National Law University, Cuttack at Odisha with Grade ‘A’ after their standing committee comprising of their executive members visited the campus between 22nd and 24th August. The decision was taken by the council after the college was evaluated on a number of factors such as:
- Quality of teaching
- Apart from teaching, the co-curricular activities provided to the students
- Research work
- Student faculty ratio
- Infrastructure
After the assessment, the university has been accredited with a grade ‘A’ for the next five years.

Apart from this, the National Law University in Odisha has been successfully organising GIAN program on MHRD for the past two times and have been asked to do the same again for this time as well.
In India, the highest body for evaluation of universities and colleges is NAAC. Team at NAAC accessed and evaluated NLU, Odisha before providing it with the accreditation.
