A team of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) would visit Bangalore University from October 3, 2016, for re-accreditation process. It has been three years since the team of NAAC visited the university.
Bangalore University was accredited with ‘A’ grade from NAAC for five years. The term of accreditation ended in September 2013. The university failed to submit the Annual Quality Assurance Report for the last five years and further invite the team.

The NAAC team would visit the Jnana Bharati and Central College campuses till October 7, 2016 . Prof K N Ningegowda, Registrar of Bangalore University said that the assessment process was delayed due to some internal issues. He mentioned that the university is likely to receive A+ grade from NAAC.

According to the norms of NAAC, each university would get two years time as the preparation period after getting the accreditation to submit annual reports. However, the authorities of BU failed to file the annual reports which further delayed the assessment process.
