National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) - University of Law Hyderabad hosted its 16 th convocation ceremony recently. Governor of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, ESL Narasimhan was the Chief Guest of the occasion. He delivered the convocation address and awarded degrees, diplomas and medals to students.
As a part of the 16 th convocation ceremony of NALSAR Hyderabad , 409 students were conferred diplomas and degrees. Students with outstanding performance in academics received medals.
Highlights of NALSAR Hyderabad 16 th Convocation: -
The following are some of the major highlights of NALSAR 16 th convocation ceremony: -
- Tanvi Tuhina of B.A LLB (Hons) course surprised everyone by receiving 11 gold medals for her outstanding performance in academics and associated activities.
- Karan Gupta and Shubhra Tripathy bagged six gold medals each for good performance in academics and associated activities.
- Nithish R and Aishwarya Deb from LLM course bagged gold medals.
- Dhruva Aditya from MBA course also secured a gold medal.

Addressing the students on the occasion, Governor ESL Narasimhan advised the varsity to take up the legal education of common person to make sure that the society is not solely dependent on the practitioners of law. He quoted that the law is very strong against the weak and very weak against the strong. Judiciary plays a vital role in the administration of justice and it should consider the larger interests of society while adjudicating on climate change and human rights, he added.

Vice Chancellor of NALSAR Hyderabad, Faizan Mustafa revealed that the varsity bagged ‘A’ grade and stood top among the National Law Universities in the country in the UGC & NAAC rankings.
