The Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has bagged the prestigious International BRICS Project Award 2017-18. Professor S. S Islam – Director of Nanoscience Centre at JMI will lead the project as Project Investigator (PI). He will be assisted by two other international PIs from China and Russia. It is one of the greatest achievements for JMI to bag the BRICS Multilateral Research and Development Project.

The Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at JMI was established in the year 2011. The centre has been playing a magnificent role in carrying out research on characterisation and applications of Nanomaterials. The centre is equipped with the latest infrastructure with an administered environment and corresponding facilities crucial to Nanoscale research. Some of the major facilities in the centre are Nanomaterials characterisation, nanofabrication, testing and measurement instruments.
The Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at JMI offers M.Tech and Ph.D. courses in Nanotechnology. The centre aims to prepare skilled human resource poll in the fast-growing sector of Nanotechnology.
