A two-day national workshop on the theme, ‘Preparation of Technical Terminology in Social Sciences’, will be organised under the aegis of the Department of Social Science, Rangia College in the college on June 21 and 22.
Rangia College is one of the premier institutions of higher education of Assam situated at the north bank of the river Brahmaputra in Kamrup district. Since its establishment on 5th August, 1963, the college has been rendering pioneering services of the entire locality for the utmost satisfaction. The college is affiliated to Gauhati University, Assam and reaccredited with grade ‘B’ (Rating Point 2.80) by the NAAC in 2010.
Scientific and Technical Terminology (CSTT), Government of India will be sponsoring the national workshop for the college.
The workshop will be aimed at discussing problems in preparing a glossary of Social sciences, involving young teachers in the process from different branches of the Social Sciences. Interactive sessions will be held wherein each member will get the opportunity to speak on various aspects of Social Sciences. The event will also witness many noted professors, dignitaries as well as faculty members who will be expressing their views on the subject concerned.
Dr Dwijendra Deka, Associate Professor, Department of Political Science, has requested the participation of all those who are concerned in the event.
