The NCWEB i.e. Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board will be open for admission from today, 25th July’ 16 under the third cutoff list.
As usual, the University of Delhi ’s cut off was high and NCWEB too had a pretty high cut off but it still was flooded by students who scored 90 percent or above in their 12th class board exam.
The women’s board offers the following two courses and is exclusively for girls only.
- B.Com
- B.A
This year, the board got 12 new centres with 5,600 new seats and one of those centres was Miranda House where the cutoff was 92 percent for B.Com. Despite the high cutoff, a lot of students took admission. Till date, 2,000 students has registered themselves and has taken admission, out of which almost 250 students are who scored 90 percent or above.
Anuj Gupta, officiating Director of NCWEB said that over the year they have seen students who scored more than 90 percent or above admit themselves under the board.
He also mentioned that NCWEB is perfect for students who wish to pursue professional course along with their graduation as the board hold classes only on Sunday.
At the time of admission, students are requested to carry the necessary documents, original documents. The fees that a student has to pay at the time of admission is Rs. 3,500 per annum but students belonging to PWD category i.e. Person with Disability are exempted from this fees.
