Medical Council of India (MCI) has warned medical aspirants to not fall prey to the unscrupulous elements who are misleading the students that they will provide seats in MBBS courses in medical colleges.
Admissions to medical colleges will be done on the basis of NEET exam every year. All-India, as well as state counselling for admission to MBBS programmes, is a part of the entire medical admission process.
Earlier, MCI had published an advisory that implores students to follow the common counselling process administered by the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
Seat allotment for the 15% all India quota seats and all the MBBS seats offered by State-run medical colleges, approved deemed universities and other authorised bodies.

MCI has also informed the students that admissions taken through any means other than the common central counselling are impermissible and illegal. It has also published a list of colleges that have been providing medical courses without the approval and permission of MCI or the Central Government.
Colleges that have not been approved for MBBS Admissions by MCI :
The medical colleges mentioned above have not been granted permission to conduct admissions in the session 2017-18 and 2018-19.

Candidates seeking admission in MBBS or any other medical courses have been advised by the MCI to check the status of grant of permission before securing admission in any of the colleges. MCI also insists medical aspirants to check the college website thoroughly before applying to any college. Candidates can also find information regarding the same on the official website of MCI.
