As per the various media reports that have been floating around, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2018 will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2018. However, earlier this month, there were speculations that NEET 2018 is expected be held on May 10 . Also, earlier this week, CBSE clarified that there will be no change in the NEET exam syllabus .
Candidates seeking admission in MBBS and BDS courses are eagerly waiting for NEET application and other updates . The exam will be conducted in various languages and CBSE will try to maintain symmetry in between difficulty level of different languages and paper pattern of NEET 2018 .

CBSE has laid down important guidelines like who are eligible to apply for NEET 2018 and who are not . Even though MHRD has discredited MCI's order of barring NIOS, Open School & private students from NEET 2018 , CBSE has confirmed that such students will not be allowed to appear for NEET 2018.

A notice allegedly issued by the office of Joint Secretary and Officer on Special Duty at the NEET, Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj hinted at the NEET exam date . The notice stated that CBSE will conduct NEET UG on May 6, 2018. The notice further added that admissions to all MBBS BDS programmes offered across India will be conducted on the basis of NEET UG score except AIIMS and JIPMER, Puducherry.
Contradicting the notice, the CBSE NEET Helpdesk mentioned that the official notification of NEET 2018 will be out by the last week of January and the final dates of NEET UG will be declared in the official notification only.

When asked to confirm the dates mentioned in the notice issued by the office of Dr. Bhardwaj’s name, the Helpdesk stated that aspirants looking forward to applying for the programme must not believe any information other than that mentioned in the official notification of CBSE NEET . However, chances that NEET 2018 will be conducted on May 6 are high as the exam is usually conducted by CBSE on the first Sunday of May.
