The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) of 2019 will be conducted on 20th May 2019, Monday, in the state of Odisha. The Central Ministry of Health had decided to postpone the NEET exam for the students of Odisha because of the adverse weather conditions in the state due to Cyclone FANI.
NEET 2019 was supposed to be held on 5th May 2019, Sunday, for Odisha initially. However, the State Government of Odisha requested for the examination to be rescheduled because of the adversity that has struck upon the state due to Cyclone FANI.
The students of Odisha who had applied for NEET 2019 will be able to give the exam on 20th May 2019 now. The timing of the exam will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the students will get their revised admit cards on the official website of NTA (National Testing Agency) soon.

The NEET 2019 for other states was successfully conducted on the pre-decided date of 5th May 2019. A total of about 13 lakh students had appeared for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) this year and the exam was conducted at several centres across the nation.
Owing to the catastrophe caused by Cyclone FANI, various universities and colleges from across the country have postponed their entrance exams in the state of Odisha. The Symbiosis International University has also rescheduled its entrance tests for Odisha and West Bengal.
NEET was initially called the All India Pre-Medical Test (abbreviated as AIPMT) and it is an exam for selecting students who wish to study medical courses at undergraduate or postgraduate level. NEET - UG is a three-hour long test which contains questions from the subjects of Botany, Zoology, Physics, and Chemistry.
