For the second phase of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET II) the Online application process has been started.
As per the information of Central Board of Secondary Education, that is responsible for conducting the test, nearly two lakh students to appear for NEET II. The examination will be held on 24 July 2016 while approximately 6.5 lakh students had appeared for the first phase held on 1 May.
The detailed information regarding the test, syllabus and eligibility criteria are available on website www.aipmt.nic.in. The online application could be submitted on the same website.
Students who appeared for the test on 1 May for phase one may also allowed to take NEET II . But they have to abide by certain rules like they to surrender their score of phase-1. Those students who were left out as they could not register for NEET II will be allowed to apply.
But this provision exists only for the current year as there were lots of confusion surrounding the test since past one month. Thousands of students were not prepared to take the exam at such short notice and in short span of time.
But from the next year on, the entrance will be conducted only once a year.The joint result for both the phases will be declared on 17 August and the whole admission process to be completed by 30 September.
This test will be applicable for admissions to all the quotas - the all-India quota seats, State government quota seats where the state government concerned so opts and private, management and non-resident Indian (NRI) quota seats in all private medical and dental colleges and deemed universities.
