With the release of the admit cards in such short notice, train tickets are not available to book for the candidates. Also, to book a flight ticket, candidates will have to spend around Rs. 8000 which is not practical. Additionally, female candidates will have to take a parent or guardian with them, which again costs double the fare. Hence, as per the current situation, about 194 candidates have decided to drop the NEET PG 2022 exams. Dr Aswin Das, adds that most of the aspirants are working professionals in hospitals. So, they cannot get a leave or find a replacement within such a short period.
Some of the major cities of Kerala, Ernakulam, Thiruvananthapuram, and Kozhikode are the exam centres for NEET PG 2022. However, within a few hours of the online application process, these centres were closed. Aspirants had no choice but to choose the option of “others”.
