NID Announces Date for Design Aptitude Test (DAT) 2017

The National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad invites applications from the eligible candidates for its NID DAT 2017 scheduled to be conducted on 8 January 2017.

Eligibility Criteria NID DAT 2017:

Master of Design (M.Des.)

• Candidates applying for the M.Des programme must be not more than 30 years of age before June 30, 2017 . The applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline under the 10+2+3 system from any university recognised by UGC

Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) and Graduate Diploma

• Candidates applying for the B.Des must be not more than 20 years of age before 30 June 2017
• Applicants must have cleared 12th exam from any recognised board of education like CBSE, ICSE, IB or their equivalent board
• Students appearing for Higher Secondary (10+2) qualifying examination in the academic year 2016–17 are also eligible to apply

How to Apply for NID DAT 2017:

Candidates have to sign up online on the official website of NID before proceeding to fill the application form. Candidates should provide valid email address and mobile number while registering and then fill up the online Application Form with all the details.

Selection Process for NID DAT 2017:

The DAT exam is conducted in two phases.

• For the first phase, all aspirants have to take NID DAT (Prelims). It is a pen and paper based test.
  There are two sections in the prelims paper - Part A and Part B. Part A contains objective type questions and part B contains subjective type questions.
• After clearing the preliminary exam, candidates have to appear NID DAT main exam. It comprises of a studio test as well interview round.
