National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) would be conducting the entrance exam for its B.Des and M.Des courses on February 14, 2016. The candidates can register for the exam online till latest by January 10, 2016.
The entrance exam is conducted for admission to the Bachelor and Masters courses such as Bachelor of Design (B.Des) in Fashion communication, Fashion Design, Accessory Design, Knitwear Design, Leather Design and Textile Design. The test would also be for admission to Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.FTech) in Apparel Production, Master of Design( M.Des), Master of Fashion Management(MFM) and Master of Fashion Technology (MFT) programmes.
The B.Des candidates would be called for the second round of Situation Test on the basis of their performance in GAT and CAT. The B.F.Tech candidates would have to appear only in GAT. The M.Des. candidates would be called for group discussion/personal interview based on their scores in GAT and CAT and M.F Tech and MFM candidates only on the basis of GAT scores.
If in case the candidate does not fulfills any eligibility condition then his/her candidature would stand canceled. NIFT is not liable to give any prior notice or further reference for the same. Also the NIFT would not be responsible for any consequences of such a cancellation.
NIFT strictly does not recommends any coaching/training for the written test, situation test and GD/PI. The institute advises candidates not to solicit any such telephone calls/sms/emails/website for the same.

Last date for completing online registration-January 10, 2016
Last date for completing online registration with late fee-January 16, 2016
Availability of admit card- January 21, 2016 onwards
The date of entrance exam- February 14, 2016
Situation Test/ group discussion/personal interview would be held from April to May 2016
Counselling- June 2016 onwards
