. Ministry of Education releases NIRF rankings every year including Learning & Resources, Teaching, Research and Professional Practices, Graduation Outcomes, Outreach and Inclusivity, and Perception. For the last two years, Christian Medical College has maintained its first position in NIRF rankings. The NIRF rankings have observed an increase in the position of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham from 8th to 6th and have maintained its second spot in the top medical colleges in the state. Another popular institute is Madras Medical College & Government General Hospital. NIRFrankings in 2023 has seen an increase from 12th position in 2022 to 11th in 2023.
