Bagging the highest package till date in NIT Jamshedpur , Kanishka and Aman Kumar made it to the tech giant Microsoft at a record-setting annual salary package of Rs 43.30 Lakh. These two brilliant students from Bihar were Computer Science and Engineering students at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur.
The Director of NIT Jamshedpur, Dr KK Shukla talked about the university’s placement records while addressing a media house. The director said that for the past two years, the university has been achieving 90% placements against the intake of around 600 students. Talking about the success rate of this year’s placement drive, Mr Shukla added that this year, they hoped for a cent per cent placement record with employers from more than 60 companies that have already booked slots for the placement drive till September. He further added that the institute is expecting an increment of up to 200 companies till November that will be participating in the campus placement.

Till now, other than Kanishka from Buxar and Aman Kumar from Patna, many other students of NIT Jamshedpur have been locked by E-commerce giants and multinational companies at great packages. According to an official, 8 students bagged a package of INR 28.75 lakh at Amazon, 2 students have been locked by Increff for INR 15 lakh, two students were picked by Qualcomm for INR 16 lakh and one by Buyhatke for a package of 15 lakh.
This year, the institute seems to be showing better performance by bagging the highest package that has set a new record for next year’s students. This will encourage them to work harder to achieve better.
