NIT Patna will be facilitating the process for seat allotments through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) for admission to Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and the government-funded technical institutions (GFTIs).
The counselling for IITs would be conducted in Indian Institute of Technology – Guwahati. Reports have suggested that a meeting between the JoSAA representatives, IIT Guwahati director, NIT-Patna director, and the other heads of NITs and IITs is on cards. The meeting would mainly focus on the business model for the admissions apart from deciding on the dates for admissions in Indian Institute of Technologies, National Institute of Technologies, IIITs and GFTIs.
National Institute of Technology - Patna will be carrying out the seat allocation(counselling) for the admissions in 20 IIITs, 31 NITs and 18 GFTIs based on the JEE Mains score. The offline test of JEE mains will be held on 3rd April while the online mode exam would be held on 9th and 10th of April 2016.
