Medha Kumari, a Computer Science Engineering student at National Institute of Technology, Patna, has been offered an annual salary package of Rs. 39.5 lakh from Adobe Systems India Private Limited as a part of the placement drive 2017. Till date, it is the highest salary package offered in the history of NIT Patna.
Medha Kumari, a 20-year-old girl appeared for the online test conducted by Adobe Systems India along with 40 of her peers. After cracking the online test, she appeared for technical test and an interview. She was the only student to clear all rounds of the selection process and secured a job. The technical test and interview took place in Kolkata in the first week of October.

Training and Placement-In-Charge at NIT Patna, Mr. Samrat Mukherjee revealed that Rs. 39.5 lakh annual salary package is the highest for an NIT Patna student. For the first time, Adobe recruited a student from NIT Patna. Amazon offered the second highest package, and five students were offered jobs. The annual package offered by Amazon was Rs. 27.5 lakh, he added.
Sharing her experience, Medha Kumari said that a software company offered her an annual package of Rs. 8.75L. However, she felt that she could do better, and appeared for the online test conducted by Adobe Systems India Private Limited. She had enough preparation for the online test, technical test and interview process. The interview was quite tough, but she never lost confidence.

Medha Kumari’s father was a small trader while her mother was a homemaker. She will join Adobe India in June 2018. She will have to work at company’s headquarters, located in Greater Noida. The role offered to Medha Kumari is software development, implementation and coding.
So far, 184 students out of 300 students of NIT Patna have been placed in different companies. The institute is aiming to achieve 100% placements this year.
