Prof. GRC. Reddy, Director of National Institute of Technology, Warangal revealed that NIT Warangal has witnessed a significant growth in terms of placements during the academic session 2016-17. He hailed the initiative of the central government which allowed Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) to go for direct recruitment ultimately increasing the number of placements of NIT Warangal.
So far, 35 percent of M.Tech students and 78 percent of B.Tech students who were eligible for placements bagged offers from PSUs and top MNCs. Various companies are lined up to visit the campus in the next two months, and it is expected that the placement percentage of M.Tech students will reach 75 percent.

So far, the highest package was offered by Morgan Stanley, and a B.Tech student has been selected for an annual package of Rs. 80 lakh. Similarly, Directi, one of the reputed firms also selected a student with a yearly package of Rs. 29 lakh. Four students bagged offers from Worksap with an annual package of Rs. 34 lakh.

Bank of America and Reliance have made the highest number of offers in the year 2016, and there has been a positive growth with respect to international recruitments. Overall, a total number of 160 companies completed the recruitment process in the year 2016.
NIT Warangal has also become one of the favourite destinations for reputed companies abroad as well. Students secured placement in various countries like Singapore, United Kingdom (UK) and Taiwan.
Prof. Reddy further added that NIT Warangal is aiming for 100% placements in the next two months. So far, the average package bagged by the students was between Rs. 5-10 lakh.
