The IITs are ready to take a historic decision to hold IIT's Entrance Examination in abroad nations which also includes SAARC nations. But the IITs are not ready to hold entrance test in neighbouring country Pakistan . The preparations have been going to conduct entrance tests in SAARC countries, Singapore , United Arab Emirates . The entrance test is being conducted for the admission in IITs.

The reason for not including Pakistan in the list is various issues related to procuring visas and it has been decided that the entrance test will not be conducted in Pakistan for the upcoming year.
It is a great decision to conduct IIT entrance examination abroad. Earlier it has been announced that the IITs would conduct entrance tests in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Africa, Srilanka, Nepal, Ethiopia. The seats are reserved for foreign students and these seats would not affect the number of seats for Indians. Additional seats have been granted for all the IITs for the foreign students. the test will be conducted in the year 2017 and the IITs have been working out for exercising outreach programme.
