So far, All India Council for Technical education or AICTE has been happy with the response that is being received from colleges for Swatch Bharath campaign. However, only one thing that has been concerning the council is, spitting on campuses. Even though the Swatch Bharat campaign was successful, the technical institutes failed to regulate spitting on campuses.
Now, AICTE has issued a circular directing all technical institutes across the country to involve National Cadet Corps and National Services Scheme in enforcing the rule on regulating spitting on the campuses. The circular further indicated that the technical institutes must play a significant role in changing the mindset by taking preventive activities. Besides, NCC and NSS, other voluntary groups can also take up a campaign on the same.
