The NSS volunteers of Koneru Lakshmaiah University conducted career guidance program for Class X students of Z.P.H.S Schools across the Guntur District on 16-March-2016 and 17-March-2016. NSS officer, KL University, Prof.R.Subhakar Raju explained that the around 50 NSS volunteers of the university have given career guidance for class X students as they are going to complete their school education in few days.
Career guidance was given in various courses that students can opt after class X and various employment opportunities related to the courses. A special session was conducted for girl students where NSS volunteers motivated the rural girls to continue education instead of giving up as it is common in rural areas. They also enlightened girl students about the various educational schemes and reservation system to the girls by the AP government.
The program received positive response among various government schools as students are enlightened about various career prospects. The Head Masters of the school congratulated and appreciated the efforts of NSS volunteers of University in conducting such a useful and beneficial program for students.
