NEW DELHI: National Student Union of India Convenor, Er. Sandeep Maurya wrote to Rajasthan CM Anil Gehlot for the postponement of NEET PG 2022 after receiving multiple demands in favour of the same. Sandeep wrote the letter on behalf of around 5000 interns and 15000-20000 Midrankers, who are not able to appear for the upcoming medical post-graduation exam NEET PG 2022 and NEET MDS 2022.

Reasons to Postpone NEET PG 2022

NEET PG 2021 AIQ is scheduled to be commenced on May 3, 2022, and immediately after that, the state level PG admissions will be started. The NEET PG 2022 will be held on May 21, 2022, as per the exam schedule. There is a smaller gap between the NEET PG counselling and NEET PG 2022 exam. The students will not get enough time for the preparation of the NEET PG exam 2022. This is the prime reason, which is pointed out for the exam postponement. Apart from that, there are multiple issues found for extending the NEET PG exam date.

  1. The counselling of NEET PG 2021 is still in process and there is a dilemma in the student’s mind about when the counselling is going to be ended
  2. Less gap between the NEET PG Counseling and NEET PG 2022 exam gives unnecessary stress to the candidates and they cannot take preparation for the exam with a free mind
  3. The candidates, who are left with no seats after NEET PG 2021 counselling, however, those who did not register for NEET PG 2022 for being busy with the counselling round or had lost their seats during the mop-up cancellation, will need time for NEET PG 2022 preparation
  4. At last, those 5000 interns, who served during the COVID 19 outbreak as COVID warriors, are not able to appear for the NEET PG exam due to a delay in the final examination
